BrainPOP Visit!

To our amazement, a person from BrainPOP came to our school. We were pleased that she came. Her name was Jude. Jude visited us because Miss Donacien asked Jude to come and tell us about BrainPOP, as we use BrainPOP at school and at home.
Jude introduced herself and she told us about BrainPOP. Then, we asked her some questions and then she answered our questions and she gave us some badges, pens and rubbers as prizes. We watched a short Brainpop video about how Brainpop videos are made. Can you believe it takes 3 weeks to create one video?
Everyone, thought the visit was extraordinary, we were delighted by the visit. It was the best BrainPOP day ever! We thought Tim and Moby were going to come too!
Eventually, after assembly, we went up the ICT Suite and logged in to Purple Mash to create a poster about why we like BrainPOP. It was a great day.

What are you going to do to become a great Brainpopper?

Anthony Browne

This term we have enjoyed reading stories written by Anthony Browne.

Anthony Browne

As a child

Anthony grew up in a village called Hipperholme, in Yorkshire. He loved art and would spend hours drawing with his beloved father. He says of his father, “He was an unusual man – outwardly strong and confident, but also shy and sensitive – a bit like the gorillas I love to illustrate now. As well as drawing, he encouraged me to play a lot of sports, such as rugby and soccer and cricket. I was small for my age and I used to go to a fairly tough school – if I hadn’t been good at sports, I would probably have been bullied.”

We have written letters to Anthony Browne.

Quadblogging

quadblogging Quadblogging

Year 3 are really excited to take part in the next cycle of Quadblogging. We have been really fortunate so far to have been partners with great  schools across the world. This time we will be Quadblogging partners with  Brookburn Primary SchoolSacred Heart School, and Springston School.

Mrs Taylor from Springston School in New Zealand has set her class a challenge. So I thought it would be a great idea if Year 3 did the same.

Quadblogging Challenge

1. How old are they?

2. What country and city do they come from? (Can you find it on a map?)

3. What is their teacher’s name?

4. What makes their school special?

5. What things on their blog do you love and would like to try?

6. What do you want to find out about them?

Find out all you can and write this information or your questions in a comment below. Remember to add your name and age and try adding our URL.
